Eight regional schools came together Friday at Northfield High School for the Missota Music and Visual Arts Festival.
The annual event, which is hosted by a different school each year, is an all-day event celebrating the arts.
“It’s basically a full-day workshop—almost an artist retreat, if you will,” said NHS Prinicipal Joel Leer.
About 1,000 students were at the high school for the day. NHS students not participating in the festival had the day off from school.
Art students checked out the works of others, worked with clinicians, and either participated in or watched an evening concert with bands and choirs.
