Next Planning Meeting Saturday for Fire Station Community Arts Center
The business plan outline will be presented and discussed as will fundraising opportunities.
The next planning meeting for a proposed arts center in the former downtown Shakopee fire station is from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 17.
The business plan outline will be presented and discussed and there will be a report on fundraising opportunities. Mike Haeg, who made the initial proposal and is hosting the meeting at his home at 305 Holmes St. S., is encouraging people to attend and bring ideas. There will also either be a report or visitors from Beyond The Yellow Ribbon, a group that supports returning vets.
Also on the agenda is a bit of work on the growth model for Fire Station Arts, which will involve starting with the building as is and imagining what it will look like for the first year. Think programming, classes, events and opportunities beyond the walls to the community.
