More Lane and Ramp Closures on Hwy. 169 and I-494

The loop ramp from northbound Hwy. 169 to westbound I-494 and lanes on westbound I-494 will close Thursday and Friday evening.

 

Expect more lane and ramp closures on Highway 169 and Interstate 494 Thursday and Friday evening. 

The closures will occur during the painting of the new flyover ramp from westbound I-494 to southbound Highway 169, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation. 

After closing in the evening, lanes and ramps will reopen by 5 a.m. on Sept. 7 and by 6 a.m. on Sept. 8.

MnDOT lists the following closures:

Thursday, Sept. 6

  • The loop ramp from northbound Hwy 169 to westbound I-494 will close at 10 p.m. Access to westbound I-494 will be available via Hwy 212.
  • One lane of westbound I-494 near the interchange will close at 7 p.m., and at 10 p.m. westbound I-494 will be reduced to a single lane.
  • The loop ramp and all lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. Sept. 7.

Friday, Sept. 7

  • The loop ramp from northbound Hwy 169 to westbound I-494 will close at 10 p.m. Access to westbound I-494 will be available via Hwy 212.
  • One lane of westbound I-494 near the interchange will close at 7 p.m., and at 10 p.m. westbound I-494 will be reduced to a single lane.
  • The loop ramp and all lanes will reopen by 6 a.m. Sept. 8
