Lori Link Chosen as New Shakopee West Junior High Principal

Lori Link was chosen as the Wednesday.

The position, open this summer after former principal Chris Endicott left for a principal position in Lakeville, is one Link is familiar with. She joined Shakopee schools in 2006 and most recently was the assistant Junior High principal and ninth grade dean.

From her bio on the Shakopee Schools website:

I joined the Shakopee Schools community in August 2006 after working as an administrator and teacher in Saint Paul for 16 years.  I am honored to work with such talented students, dedicated staff members, and a wonderfully supportive community.

After growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, I moved to Minnesota in 1989. I currently live with my husband and our three sons in Inver Grove Heights. Although my spare time is usually filled with many sporting events as our kids are very involved in youth sports, I love to read, golf, play cards, and shop!

I have enjoyed every minute of my career in education.  The kids keep me energized and give me a reason to smile everyday.  I welcome your questions and comments when it comes to serving our students. I am looking forward to meeting and working with the students, parents, and staff of .

The other two finalists for the position were Karen Allen, assistant principal of Centennial High School and Lisa Hartman, assistant principal of Maple Grove High School. 

A new Shakopee Junior High West assistant principal will be named very soon, according to school officials.
