Celebration of Life Planned for Man Found Deceased in Minnesota River
A service for Alan McMullen will be held in New Hope, MN, on Monday, Aug. 6.
A Celebration of Life will be held for the man found deceased Tuesday in the Minnesota River in Savage. The service for Alan Jacob McMullen, 33, will take place at New Hope Church in New Hope, MN (corner of Highway 169 and Rockford Road) at 11 a.m. with visitation starting at 10 a.m.
According to his obituary on the Sturm Funeral Home website, McMullen lived in Plymouth, MN, and was formerly from Comfrey, MN, about 35 miles southwest of New Ulm, MN. He is survived by wife Kirstin and three daughters. McMullen had been employed at BOSE in Eden Prairie as a mechanical engineer, the obit said.
An extensive search by local authorities took place Sunday after McMullen was reported missing and Plymouth police learned his car was in Savage near a railroad swing bridge.
His body was found Tuesday morning by a boat captain.
