Best of Winner: Coffee Ta Cream
Shakopee Patch readers voted it best coffee shop in the community.
Drum roll please ... the votes have been tallied, and Shakopee Patch readers have selected Coffee Ta Cream as their favorite coffee shop in Shakopee.
In our inaugural "Best of Patch" contest, 59 votes were cast for local coffee shops. Coffee Ta Cream came away with 38. Readers praised Coffee Ta Cream's fresh, hot coffee and food, but also owner Ryan Koch. Terrance Brandon said, "Lots of businesses have owners but Ryan is a Proprietor in the classic sense of the word. His generosity astounds me - try ordering anything "small" from his menu and you'll see what I mean. Not to mention the fact he is never too busy to stop and chat with customers."
Caribou Coffee near Marschall Road came in second. And although it didn't garner many votes, Donut Connection got a stellar review from Angie Whitcomb – "Consistently good product, friendly service, and just an all around perfect start to the day!"
Kwik Trip on Marschall and Vierling also got a mention in comments for another favorite place to pick up a cup of joe.
Another comment noted the lack of coffee shops in the area – which could be more than a subtle hint to entrepreneurs in this area!
Check back Monday morning for a special St. Patrick’s Day version of Patch Readers’ Choice.
