I have noticed that not many people even know the police number for the city that they live in. When I was little my family had the emergency phone numbers on the refrigerator on a magnet. 

My question to you is: Would you be able to find the number to the police within 5 minutes if you needed to use them for anything? If it was not a 911 emergency and you just needed the police for any reason.

911 is great but they receive a lot of phone calls that has nothing to do with emergencies. I wish I could ask them how many phone calls they get on a daily basis that should have been sent to the police station or fire station instead of them. Just random none important questions, like can I burn a pile of tree branches.

I live in Shakopee and I still do not know any of the emergency numbers. I will be looking them up tonight to try to get them on my refrigerator like I had when I was a kid living in the great southern state of Alabama.
